Matt and I love food so, when we were told by a few people to go to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY because we could eat gourmet food at a good price we were all over it!
We stayed at the Rondout Valley Thousand Trails campground and drove down to Hyde Park, NY for a day at the FDR Presidential Museum with lunch at CIA.
We really enjoyed our lunch at the Apple Pie Bakery, one of the CIA eateries. The Culinary Institute served good food and you could see the students preparing the food for all the restaurants through windows which was neat. Maybe my stuffed pretzel was prepared by one of the future's top chef's?
If you ever get the chance to go to the CIA in Hyde Park I'd recommend it!
We had Truffle Fries, a ham and cheese stuffed pretzel and Mac n Cheese. There were so many other good looking menu items that I would also like to try if I ever go back!
