John Adams House
Matt and I watched the HBO series about John Adams and ever since seeing it, we've been really interested in our second president.
His birthplace, first home as an adult and second home that he lived in after being president are all just south of Boston in the town of Quincy.
This is his home he and Abigail bought as their dream home and lived in until they died.
This house was lived in for several generations of Adams. One of John Adams' grandsons built this beautiful library to house all of the family treasures.
The National Park owns all three of these houses. When visiting you start at the visitor's center and ride a shuttle to the house John Adams was born in. Next door is his house he lived in as an adult.
Walking through the houses bring the Adams' family to life! It also gives insight into the pre and post Revolutionary war times.
I'm glad these homes are still standing so we can see them today.

Tahoe Tuesday
Happy Tahoe Tuesday!
This week I learned that I like having the bed all to myself. If Matt and Michelle don't make the bed then I don't see any reason to let a perfectly comfy bed go to waste. So, I like to get right to sleeping and enjoy having the bed all to myself. I may look small but I need lots of room!

Provincetown
Provincetown is the farthest point on Cape Cod. The area has a really cute beach town with shops and restaurants and a protected seashore run by the National Park Service.
While in Provincetown we hung out on the beach and even saw a seal playing in the water!
The beach has lots of rocks so we also had to skip some rocks. Michelle's college roomates hung out with us in P-town while they were vacationing there!
We even saw a little historical reenacting going on while walking the streets of P-town-
The beaches are beautiful with huge dunes. The ocean is a pretty blue here and is a great place to visit the beach!

Happy Fourth of July from Boston
On the 4th of July we went to Boston to enjoy some patriotic festivities. It was a great place to be on the 4th!
We watched the USS Constitution sail down the river and do a 21 gun salute. The ship didn't sail under it's own power, it was pushed by a tug boat if you were curious about that. The ship was first launched in the year 1797, it sure does look great for being 217 years old!
The 4th was very rainy in the Cape Cod and Boston area because Hurricane Aurthur was just off the coast but, thankfully it was just rainy and there wasn't too much hurricane drama.

Welcome to Cape Cod
We've had the pleasure of spending two weeks exploring Cape Cod this summer. We've enjoyed some beach time, biking, boat watching and lobstah eating.
Before coming here I had a vague idea of what Cape Cod was but really didn't know much about the area. Here's a map to help you visualize where Cape Cod is and where the campgrounds are we stayed in:
Everywhere you look you'll find nautical influences-
We spent many hours around the water while on the cape watching boats go by. This is the Cape Cod Canal that separates the cape from the main land. There's a great paved trail on both sides of the canal for biking or walking (or running in you're a runner).
Being so close to the sea means affordable Lobstah!!! (Lobstah is how Lobster is pronounced up here). We've learned to cook it ourselves, so far the lobsters we've cooked have submitted to the boiling water with out too much of a fight.

Tahoe Tuesday
Hi everyone!
This week I went to Petsmart. I don't really enjoy shopping but Michelle and Matt took me after my vet appointment around the whole Petsmart store. My vet appointment went well by the way, I'm all healthy!
Anyway, while shopping, Michelle got me a bow tie. I'm not usually a fan of wearing collars but, I really like this one and haven't tried to take it off yet, I think I look pretty handsome.
All that shopping made me so tired since it occurred during my usual nap time. Don't worry, I'm catching up on my sleep!

Wednesday
Mystic, CT
Ahhh Mystic, such a cute seaside town. I love it because it's calm, there's seafood, it feels like an authentic non commercial place, there's plenty of boat watching (I love boat watching) and there are tons of old beautiful homes to see (I love looking at old beautiful homes). Enjoy these photos from one of my favorite New England places (so far).
Look who we found! Lauren and Nikita (Michelle's college roomies) are on vacation and had dinner with us! |

Tahoe Tuesday
Happy Tuesday everybody!
This week I got inside of a paper bag. I'm able to get into impressively small places-
Then after getting out of the bag I laid on Matt's computer while he did some work.
What have you been up to this week?
