Inspiration Friday!
Every night this week, I've been working on our upstairs bedroom. Up until now we've used that room as storage and kept the door closed. However, we want people to come visit us so we need a guest room! My parents are coming in 2 weeks so we got to get it done!
I am not a details person especially at the end of the day when I've been at work all day. Sometimes I have to force myself to do a good job on a project and pay attention to the details because I want it to turn out really nice!
Painting this upstairs room has been a 4 day process so far and I had to force myself to take it slow and do a good job.
Night 1 I cleaned and sanded the walls and trim. Night 2 I primed. Night 3 I painted the trim. Night 4 I painted the walls "Bracing Blue"! I still need to touch up a few places and paint the ceiling.
To pump myself up for an evening of painting (This week I would start painting about 7 or 8 and go until 11:00 or 11:30) I look at pretty pictures on Pinterest or in Magazines to remind myself what a nice room it will be if I do a good job!
Here is a hint of the "Bracing Blue" walls. The paint is still wet in this pic and is actually darker than this.
This weekend Matt and I will put in base boards and a new floor!! Woo! Hopefully I'll be able to get some better pics of this room for you!
So, to help me get myself inspired to try harder and do a good job, I look at pretty things like this-

Have a happy weekend!

My Cutest Sun Dress
Well, I grew out of it... I couldn't get rid of my cute sundress so I re-purposed it into a purse!
Now I can keep enjoying these cute neon sea creatures even though my dress doesn't fit anymore!
I'm painting the upper bedroom and hope to have it all painted by Friday!
Have a happy Thursday!

Happy Valentine's Day!
In honor of Valentine's day I'm linking up to share our love story:)
2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?} Matt and I grew up together so we've known each other for about 20 years! Growing up, we were friends and lived down the street from each other from middle school-high school. We went to the same church, same school- he was a year ahead of me in school though. We had some of the same close friends that we hung out with but we only hung out at church things together growing up.
Matt graduated from high school and went off to college while I still had one year of high school left. When he came home from his freshman year, we started dating. It was a lovely summer romance that we just couldn't end at the end of the summer:) We had a long distance relationship through college because I went to TCU and Matt went to Georgia Tech. After we graduated from college in May Matt proposed in October. The following September we got married!
4. If you are married, where did you get married at? The church we grew up in, Marvin UMC in Tyler, TX. Big or small wedding? Big, about 250
5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Haha, I call him hubby and he calls me wifey, sooo cheesey I know:)
6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey. He is goofy and makes me laugh everyday! He's super handy, I think he can fix anything. He encourages me everyday.
7. Tell us how he proposed? After a long day of hiking at Hanging Rock State Park in North Carolina, Matt and I were enjoying a beautiful view on top of the rock formation at the park. After a few minutes I turned around to look behind me. When I turned back around, Matt was sliding on to his knee with a ring in his hand asking me to be his wife!
8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals? Ummm, he got me chocolate this year!
9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch? That depends on the night! I like both.
10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. I'd love to own a Bed and Breakfast with my hubby somewhere beautiful!
11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day. Eating chocolate and loving each other:)
13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love. Build each other up, support each other, you are in this together!
It Snowed!
But, we didn't get a snow day. I'm baffled. Whyyy would the city be so diligent and put salt on the main roads so it would melt? Rude. Oh well, it is a beautiful sight.
Sunday
Please let it Snow
There are rumors of snow late tonight and I'm hoping that will bring a snowday for Monday!
That is ice in the rain gauge, so it's definitely cold enough.
This weekend I went through a bag in the basement that I had forgotten about. Before Matt and I moved, my grandmother gave me a bag of some things she had embroidered and I found these His & Hers pillow cases that she made!
Here is a picture of my grandparents. Aren't they glam?
Lastly, Matt and I celebrated Valentine's day already since it is on a weeknight this year. I made him this card out of wood-
Cute yet manly:)
He got me an awesome bag of candy and a card with a cat on it!! He knows how to please me:)
Here is a picture of Matt working on the Airstream window! This is the 5th window we've refurbished.
A bonus this weekend was that Downton Abbey was 2 hours! What a great surprise!
Happy Monday and hopefully it will snow!!!! (Alot!)

Friday
Friday!!!
Since it will be so cold this weekend, Matt and I are planning to stay inside! Tonight we are going to eat at Pei Wei (My Fav!!) then we might go see a movie. Saturday I hope we hang around the house and relax, I know we'll continue working around the house and on our Airstream windows too.
Last night we went down to our Airstream and got one of the windows off to refurbish! We have done four so far! The windows on our 1976 Airstream are nasty and the old tint is peeling off so we are refurbishing them to look fantastic! I'll post pics of that so you can see what I'm talking about on Monday!
This week I've been good about exercising and eating pretty healthy. Last week for Inspiration Friday I posted about Being Humble. Still working on that everyday but, I am also always working on my fitness!
Monday I went for a run over my lunch break. I felt awesome and accomplished the rest of the day. The rest of the week I did yoga in the living room by following Yoga Journal video podcasts and some good Youtube yoga workouts. We are going on a cruise in 2 weeks so that's also motivation to workout since I'll be in my swim suit soon!!

I also have continued to count calories. I posted about counting calories here. I've found that it's the best way for me to eat enough but not too much! It's amazing how good I feel at the end of the day when I haven't over eaten, you know what I mean?
Lastly, I've been drinking more tea! I have some fun fruity teas i've been drinking, lots of green tea, and some honey chamomile. Tea is great because it tastes good and has no calories:) Also I get to use my cute tea pot and cup:)
Have a great weekend! Happy Friday!!
Wednesday
Yogis are so Cool
Here are some beautiful pics of yogis practicing yoga-
And here are some pictures of me practicing yoga-
Pretty similar I know... J/K.
Anyway, I love yoga and love taking classes. However, I haven't loved the classes I've taken since moving here so I don't have a studio that I go to right now. The great thing about yoga though is that you can practice in your living room! There are some great videos out there. For example, Yoga Journal has free video podcasts. In my pictures I was doing the inversion podcast!
After doing just 1 minute of yoga I feel better! My body gets stretched and relaxed and also challenged. It is a crazy combo- I love it.
I've been practicing yoga on and off for about 3 years. I'd love to be able to do the moves in the pics above someday, it's a goal of mine:)
Happy Wednesday and try some yoga!

Chocolate Pie Y'all
Just look at those pictures. This pie looks chocolatey, rich, delicious, and really bad for you right??
Well you'd be right if you thought it looked chocolatey, rich, and delicious but bad for you? The answer is no, it is only 143 calories a slice. How freaking great is that??
This amazing blogger Katie, has a blog where she makes delicious deserts that are low in calories and fat by replacing the bad stuff with healthy things.
This chocolate pie tastes nothing but good. The reason it's only 143 calories a slice (the above pic is the size of a slice, there are about 8 slices per pie, so they are crazy small) is because there is no added sugar, no butter, no eggs.... What in the world is in this pie?? The answer is- cocoa powder, melted semi-sweet chocolate, and tofu. There are a few other ingredients such as salt and vanilla but that's how you get a rich silky chocolatey pie without a ton of bad for you ingredients.
AMAZING if you ask me. I will NEVER tell my husband that it has tofu in it because he thinks tofu is the devil, however, he loooves this pie. It's that good. He never suspects there is anything up with it.
For the recipe go here and you will be sooooo glad you did!
